Another pair of interesting kicks arrived at IDYSM HQ recently on the form of these Wiz Khalifa x Converse from the upcoming fall collection.
Wiz has been a visible Chuck's wearer and fan for some time, so the brand have awarded him his own collection comprising of 12 shoes; the CONVERSE Chuck Taylor All Star Wiz Khalifa Collection for Fall 2013.
According to Wiz, “I’ve always gravitated toward Converse because of how solid the brand is. It’s clean and it’s classic.” Wiz also added “I was excited to collaborate with the team at Converse because I felt they really got my individual style and vision. The sneakers in my collection are dope and I’m excited to share them with my fans.”
The above pair are the Chuck Taylor All Star Swags, a pimped up version of the classic silhouette that features some great touches (which can be seen on all shoes in the collection); a “WK” leather signature tab on each shoe, laser-etched “WIZ” eyelets and waxed laces. On the CONVERSE Chuck Taylor All Star Swag Hi, in addition to the premium accents, Wiz added more details like the embossed “CONVERSE” lettering, studs, and “canimal” (camouflage/animal) canvas prints.
All up, some nice touches on a collection that shows a lot of love and respect towards brand - and with 12 pairs to choose from in the collection there will be something for everyone.
