It may be hard to believe but most people when complimented on how they look are happy to stop, chat and pose. In fact in nearly 4 years I would say I could count on both hands the people that have said no, which is pretty cool.
However, the 2 biggest hurdles to face can be the language barrier if the subject doesn't speak English (although my internationally recognisable array of hand gestures is now unparalleled), and whether the subject is in a rush to get somewhere.
In this instance I had both hurdles to deal with as Izeza is from Russia, doesn't speak English as her first language and was in a crazy rush to get to work. Despite all this she was however kind enough to stop for 2 minutes to show off her Vans Era Leopards. She picked up the shoes in Sydney and in her mind they reflect the style here as she finds it very different to that back home.
It's always nice to see people absorbing the conditions of their new home, whether thats experimenting with new trends or putting up with crazy British guys asking to photograph your feet.
