Our good friends at Onitsuka Tiger were kind enough to invite me to shoot the launch of their exciting new Onitsuka Tiger x Andrea Pompilio collab collection.
I have to admit the collab with the Italian designer didn't really grab me from what I initially saw online, but up close and personal I came away impressed with the latest offering, an opinion shared by a passionate and fascinated Sydney crowd, who came out in force with some serious shoe heat.
In terms of shoes, the collection offers 2 solid drops of the iconic men's X-Caliber silhouette, and a mesh camo take on the Mexico DX Mid for something a little sleeker.
Apparel wise bold cuts are mixed with colour blocking and patterning, that crosses into ladies and menswear and accessories.
Collabs are hot property, and while anything Ronnie Fieg touches gets the ASICS-heads frothing on the streets, this collab could have the same effect on the fashion crowd - including the lucky raffle winner who walked away with a head to toe outfit from the new collection.
