Convinced that they are the 'only' shoe suitable for waitressing in, Emma uses Dr Martens as a trademark punctuation for her colourful 'top and tail' look.
While her clothes remain black on black she uses her hair and feet for colourful expression. The hair is an ever evolving cavalcade of colour inspired by the character Ramona Flowers from Scott Pilgrim. The evolution of her hair doesn't stop, and apparently the night before we met she was close to colouring it 'rainbow'.
While clearly follicle-y proud, Emma takes the same level of care in ensuring her feet are always bright and bold too with DM's, in all manner of colours always on her feet. She's always looking for a bargain pair, and is still delighted to have picked up a 2nd hand pair of 15 hole-ers for just $80 recently.I was messing about with old film in these shots and I think the retro/contrast heavy look does justice to this moment in time snapshot of Emma and her evolving style.
