Jack; Sydney

The best thing about I Dig Your Sole Man (in addition to the travel and great swag) is meeting nice people.  Whether that's through brands, companies or people on the street, it is the best thing about all this work, and in Jack I met a sneaker lover who is underway in building his second collection.
Originally from Hong Kong he amased a classy sounding collection in his homeland, including some classy wares from the likes of Visvim, New Balance 580's (from the Malaysian boutique Crossover) and select Dunk SB's.
He had to leave it all behind though when he moved to Sydney, so has started again from scratch but is finding it tricky to find interesting kicks and clothing in a country he finds more mainstream than his homeland.
From his chosen denim of Levis vintage to interesting kicks, finding what he likes hasn't been easy, but he's enjoying the challenge, and picked up these Nike Free Chukka Woven at Hype DC and is happy to have found a low profile shoe with an aesthetic edge that he feels lifts it above other kicks out there.
If you like these shoes and are happy to use Jack's hard work in tracking them down then I'm happy to give Hype DC some love so check it here.

Connor; Melbourne

Connor is something of an intrepid explorer and was spotted out in the Post-Xmas sales picking up a new backpack for an upcoming trip to China.
He has a non-conformist approach to style, trying to avoid the trendies of Melbourne in favor of a more unique and self-satisfying look.  To help achieve this he has opted to delve into the world of Dr Marten footwear in the last year, and has fallen in love with the shoe that symbolised punk, grunge to name just 2 key counter culture eras.
That said...Dr Martens are getting increasingly popular at the moment and are something of a style choice, so to avoid being labelled with the trendies I suggest Connor might look for a new brand!

Import/Export; Sydney

Originally from China, I spotted this sneaker lover on Pitt St in Sydney.  As shoppers rushed around her to make the most of the new Westfield shopping centre, she was in no rush to hit the stores and replace an item that has been a mainstay in her wardrobe for 2 years.
She picked up these trusty Nikes in China, and as you can see, during that time they've been well worn and well loved, and are her shoes of choice for the weekend due to their great retro look and well worn comfort.

Holiday Shoes; Sydney

On holiday in Sydney from China, this sneaker lover is wearing her new holiday shoes.  I guess we have all been there - buying a new pair of kicks for our trip overseas - something fun but practical that will cope with long days walking, and even longer evenings propping up a bar in a far off mysterious land (and bar).
These simple Nike's were chosen due to their practical design - they will go with any outfit, and will offer ongoing comfort for lots of walking around Sydney.
The shoes won't win any style awards but she will always remember them as being a part of her fantastic holiday.

Cort Out; Sydney

I spotted this innocent looking Hong Kong-ese sneaker lover in Paddington when he was out shopping with a friend.  He is a student studying in Sydney, but for some reason seemed determined to pretend that he didn't speak English.  However, he hadn't warned his friend about this little game so she was very confused as I asked questions in English, before she then translated them (with a very confused look on her face) before he then replied in English.
It took a while to get the information I needed, but he eventually crumbled and told me in English that he purchased these classic shoes in China about 6 months ago and he wears the shoes every day.
