My Picks

Some great product has been coming through the doors at IDYSM HQ recently, and much as I love to focus on your stories on the streets out there, I thought it was worth sharing some of my product picks from the past few weeks.
First up is the latest in the Nike x Undercover collab 'GYAKUSOU' line, with the latest collection focusing on contrasting colours within a Yin x Yang concept.   The Lunarspeed AXL JP's are some of the best shoes to be dropped within GYAKUSOU yet in my opinion and look as good on the street as they do as a high concept running shoe.
Next up is the fantastic adidas Originals ZF Flux.  You will have seen the shoe for sure, but perhaps not in this specific colourway which I am told is a strictly Limited release so a big thanks to our friends at adidas for hooking me up with these.  The Flux is (in my mind anyway) a great fusion of modern tech that doesn't lose sight of adidas' illustrious retro DNA and I am sure will be a big shoe for 2014 and beyond.
Finally, Converse's 2014 1970's Chuck Taylor All Stars drop gives a firm nod back to the original 1970's colourways of the iconic shoe that has become a must have in everyone's wardrobe around the world.  My pick, the Ox Parchment lo - a colourway and style that will go with everything.
A big thanks to Nike, adidas and Converse and it just goes to show that whatever your taste, there's great stuff out there for everyone at the moment.

Jeremy; Sydney

Spotted at the retail boutique ASSIN, Jeremy is a man with a taste for the finer things in life.
His look is a walking representation of some seriously premium contemporary brands, with
handmade White leather 'Rubber Soul' shoes from Italian brand OXS, trousers and shirt by Undercover, and jacket by Mihara Yasuhiro.
As you can see from the above labels he's a big fan of Japanese labels which he likes to mix with streetwear, and is able to conjure up a different look everyday.
His wardrobe is awash with sneakers, mostly pairs of Nike's which his partner insists he has more than enough of, but on this occasion I was delighted to see him sharing his OXS, a brand I haven't come across before.
The Italian brand works seamlessly with the Japanese apparel, and shares the type of rustic, folk meets street aesthetic select Visvim styles and the celebrated Bernhard Willhelm x Camper To&ether Hiking Trainers represent.  Is this the next shoe movement...watch this space?

Nike x Undercover - Gyakusou Collection

The work of Japanese fashion label Undercover is at the forefront of urban style, and the work of it's founder Jun Takahashi has led to Undercover being called the essence of Japanese cool.
Fresh from the Nike x Undercover Lab, the Gyakusou Spring/Summer 2012 range is the latest strictly limited collection that is designed to be the best running product possible achieving the perfect balance of style and functionality.
The range see's some chic form-fitting garments engineered for comfort and freedom, that tap into the meditative quality of running through specially selected fabrics and colourways.
As as you can see in the pics above of the Dri-Fit Sweat Hoody (top row) and Convertible Hooded Jacket (bottom row) the range fuses technical apparel with a strong sense of contemporary fashion, so check it out now at Incu who are the only stockists around (see here) as each piece is a design classic in the making!
