It's always great to be introduced to new brands that inspire with great product and a great ethos, and I'm very grateful to Tim for introducing me to the fantastic brand Visvim.
Tim is originally from Taiwan and is studying Mechanical Engineering in Sydney, and during his time in Australia he is happy to bring his love of Japanese streetwear to Oz.
His Patrician Perf-Folk shoes caught my eye from across the street, but it wasn't until we started chatting and I had a chance to look at them up close that I realised just how amazing this product is,  Beautifully crafted and styled with a fantastic attention to detail.

World Industries; Sydney

World Industries are a brand synonymous with the skating world.  Their product has long been designed with just skaters in mind, but they are now looking to open up their range to also include lifestyle footwear, and in the Handsome Steve (black) and Mirage (Combat) they have a couple of styles that will look as good on the street as they did at my local skate park in the above shots.

Bondi Skate Park; Sydney

Being based in Bondi is great for many reasons, and although I'm not a skater at all, I love checking out the iconic Bondi skatepark to see what's going on.
Last weekend saw a huge crowd gather to check out some young local talent in a comp and I took it as a chance to check out the action in the bowl, and equally importantly also see what sights were taking place away from and around the skating too.
I'm always appreciative of the love my skate related shots get so hope you enjoy this set too...

Cali and Cale; Sydney

Brit designer and shoe-wizz Amy Castle is taking Australia and the shoe world by storm with her fantastic new brand Cali and Cale.
Started in 2010 in Sydney, the brand is designed to offer high quality leather sandals with characteristic Aussie inspired colour, vibrancy and personality for anyone looking to add a fashionable to twist to their summer footwear.
With a wide range of product for women and men the brand is quickly making some big noises so it's definitely a brand to watch.
For those of us experiencing the winter at present, hopefully this selection of shots of the Cali and Cale collection can get you thinking ahead to summer as you plan some new additions to your wardrobe.

adidas Footwear Preview SS12

There's no doubting that adidas has a poignant part to play in the history of the sneaker and urban style worlds (if you want to know more I urge you to read the fantastic book 'Pitch Invasion by Barbara Smit), and it's a brand that has played a special part in my own sneaker history with countless iconic styles from the brand gracing my wardrobe over the years.
But it was time to put the past to one side and instead focus on the future as I was recently invited to preview next season's drop of some great footwear from the brand.
All bases are covered with the Ransom and David Beckham collabs offering up more refined fashion related product, the Gazelle keeping the old school sneaker lovers happy, and the Climacool keeping things fresh and airy for those looking for a more athletic product.
All up there's enough great product coming from adidas to ensure that you should make a point in the future to check it out!

Jay; Sydney

In addition to meeting everyday people who appreciate footwear and urban style, it's always great to met people who influence the brands and products we buy.
Jay was in Sydney for a conference recently, and he used his trip to the big smoke as a chance to roadtest product from the brand he works for.
Based on the Gold Coast, Kustom is an Australian surf-influenced brand with a wide range of ethically produced product. You can check it out here, and as you can see Jay shows that the product makes the cross over from the beaches to the cities streets with ease!
