adidas Originals x UNDFT x Bape Consortium Launch; Sydney

  

 

If 3 is the magic number, then a 3-way collab between the power hitters of adidas Originals, Undefeated and A Bathing Ape is something truly special so it's understandable why the trio's collaboration Consortium Pack saw such a great turnout when it dropped in Sydney on Friday night.
Punters were queuing at Espionage's Atrium store hours before the doors opened hoping to get their hands on the amazing ZX5000 and (Black) Campus silhouettes from the range decked in Bape's trademark '1st Camo'.
The combination of great kicks, drinks, tunes and good vibes kept the passionate adidas crowd pumping at one of the most vibrant Sydney drops I have seen.

Nike Air Yeezy 2!

As shoe launches come, they don't come much bigger than this, with 2012's biggest drop about to hit us in the shape of the Air Yeezy 2.

The brainchild of Kanye, this shoe has had the sneakerhead fraternity salivating for a long, long, long time and finally the wait is over as it's out (if you can get a pair) this week.

As sneaker designs go, these things are epic - every plane and panel features different textures and details and the design is much slimmer than the Yeezy Mk I with this shoe designed to Kanye's own feet. 

Released in 2 colourways the Nike Air Yeezy II in the Platinum and the Black edition will drop on June 9th at Espionage (Syd), Shore Store (Melb) & Laced (Bris) in limited numbers.

Happy Birthday Dear Workout, Happy Birthday To You

 

 

I hate to say it but...I told you so! 

Some time ago I made the insightful prediction that big things were going to come from Reebok and their iconic back catalogue of shoes.  Their back catalogue features some truly iconic silhouettes and while the brand's popularity may have dipped in some quarters over recent years, it's definitely a sleeping giant ready to wake again!

It's hard to believe that The Workout; a Reebok shoe that made an indelible mark on sneaker history is 25 years old, and to mark the special occasion Sneakerology threw a party to celebrate the shoe's coming of age and I was lucky enough to grab an invite to check out the store, some great limited edition Workout colourways, and the cool Reebok loving crowd.

If you're looking to do some retail therapy this weekend you could do far worse than pick up a pair of the classic shoes and play your part in ensuring it's around for at least another 25 years.

OK sneakerheads, Jeremy Scott has been busy in the lab again putting together another range wacky and wonderful pieces for his latest adidas Originals collab.
