Paris has a Sneaker Café! A cafe, with amazing food, amazing hospitality and decor and...it's themed on sneakers, how cool is that.
Owner Kareem reportedly serves up Paris' most delicious sandwiches and bagels so whether you're coming for the tasty food, or to check out the array of shoes on display; whether that be the shoe related shots on the walls, or the mags on the tables, or the shoes for sale that he has on consignment, the Cafe really does have something for everyone.
It's probably no surprise that Kareem is and always has been a huge sneakerhead. He rocks a credible collection of 130+ pairs of shoes across all brands, is involved with a variety of sneaker related events around Paris, and keeps himself in esteemed sneaker company as I was introduced to him by Max from Parisian sneaker publication Le Closet (seen earlier this week on IDYSM).
His hefty collection includes all brands and is split 50/50 between basketball and running shoes, and his 2006 re-release Air Jordan 6's show that he's a man who likes to be seen wearing kicks that gain attention and cred in equal measures. With his successful business and great shoe collection you would think that Kareem;s got it all but no, as Kareem is desperately hungry to add to his collection. He wants to add some beloved OG shoes he once owned that died and they haunt him to this day; some OG 1993 Nike Huarache's in Ultra Marine. All he can find are re-releases, and as a man committed to cred, he demands only OGs.
If you have any or know of any for sale hit up Kareem, as he's been catering for Paris' sneaker demands for a while now, so it would be great if someone could return the favour.
If you're in Paris and want to check out Kareem's food, kicks, or just get more info on 'Sneakers Café!' here.
