Originally from Stockholm, Daniel is one of the cofounders of digital media publisher Sydney Stockholm. He has brought a sense of Scandinavian style and chic to Sydney, and perhaps as expected
his tastes are clean, elegant and refined, so it's no surprise that his sneaker of choice is the classic adidas Stan Smith. However, his current pair have certainly seen better days.
In what could well be their last outing, Daniel was kind enough to share his shoes and their unique story with me.
It's only on close inspection that you notice that there are 2 different shoes here; one with a blue heel tab, and one with a green heel tab. After falling asleep at a party one night Daniel picked up the shoes he thought were his then left. It wasn't until some time later that he realised that he must have accidentally picked up a left shoe from someone else's pair and has since then had 2 odd shoes that have formed his own pair.
They've certainly been through a lot, and the news that adidas will be re-releasing the classic style next year cannot come soon enough for Daniel.
Personally I can't wait either, I've had multiple pairs of the shoe over the years and cannot wait to get another...note to self though; ensure my shoes and Daniel's are kept apart at all times.
