adidas Boost - Running

adidas by Stella McCartney: Ararauna Dance Shoes and Accessories

adidas opened their doors for a fantastic preview on what's coming in SS13, and as you can see above things look bright for the brand with 3 stripes, very bright indeed!
For Originals fans there are plenty of shoe silhouettes to choose from, with a vast range catering for those with a taste for the classic retro styles, and some refreshing new styles/colourways.
Which is the same for Jeremy Scott fans who has once again turned out more eye catching product to dazzle with (literally in the case of the glittered silver and gold Bear).
Performance-wise adidas Running has more product to choose from including new versions of the popular Boost shoe, and for the female collab fans the Stella McCartney range yet again fuses contemporary fashion with great active wear.
All up a great collection with some fantastic product I can't wait to see hitting the streets in the coming months.

Dylan x Clarks; Sydney

You may recognise Dylan - he's my 3 year old son who has popped up a few times on IDYSM as he seem's to have become something of a shoe model for kids shoes.
He was lucky enough to receive these great Clarks shoes a while ago, but has only now grown enough to fit into them which he is very, very happy about!
The brand have been rocking classic Originals for as long as I can remember with their iconic Desert Boots and Wallabies among the timeless silhouettes that still look as good now as they did back in the day, and they are keen to show that they're also turning out contemporary styles too, and Dylan for one is very happy about it!

Clae Preview

Quality product is something I'm always interested in, and when it's buddied up with a well thought out range and a fantastic company philosophy there's no holding back, I'm in!
Clae are a brand that achieve all of the above, and when I was invited to a recent preview showing of product for next season (with product available from Feb 2013 for the Australian Winter) it was easy to see why they ranked #2 in Complex's Top 25 Independent Sneaker Brands.
The brand is dedicated to having a select range of carefully chosen silhouettes and colourways fusing quality product with sophisticated design.  Attention to detail is paramount with Premium materials and a top grade finish given to each product in their well considered range that has something to cater for all tastes.  I'm a fan, and I hope you are too so please check it out!

Preview - Puma SS12/13

With an array of footwear dropping next season, Puma will be looking to make a splash with a collection broad enough to appeal to anyone.
As always the brand's heritage is respected with silhouettes of classic Puma styles sitting opposite the brand's black label of premium product, and with this top tier of product featuring collabs with the likes of Alexander McQueen (RIP), Mihara and Hussein Chalayan there are some really interesting pieces ready to drop.
I'll be excited to see how Puma's lifestyle product fares over the coming months, and lets not forget their pedigree in sports too - the bottom pic shows the shoes that Usain Bolt will be wearing at this year's London Olympics.  Gold Medal worthy shoes - definitely!

Sneaker Freaker Swap Meet; Melbourne

The Sneaker Freaker swap meet provides an exciting opportunity for sneaker lovers and urban stylistas to get together and share a passion for everything street.
Last week saw a Melbourne meet as part of the Carbon Festival and I was at hand to see what was going on as well as speak to Sneaker Freaker Founder and top bloke Woody, co-owner of the fantastic Melbourne Up There Store Brendan, as well as some great sneakerheads to find out about the event and how sneakers are bringing people together.

Behind The Brand; Sneaker Freaker

One of the mecca's of the urban style world/global sneaker community is Sneaker Freaker magazine.  The iconic publication is a leading light in sneaker style, and I was lucky enough to be invited to their HQ in Melbourne to check out the surroundings of an office that oozes with inspiration wherever you look.
In 10 years the mag has become nothing short of a revelation and it's all down to Founder and Editor Woody (see 2nd pics) whose tireless dedication has made him and his work an international phenomenon.  He's also a top bloke and spent time chatting with me about everything from the sneaker world, to photography and my embarrassing moment with an Australian cricket great (don't ask!).
if you're not a Sneaker Freaker subscriber yet then shame on you, but I urge you to check it out, and above are some shots behind the scenes of the fantastic publication.

Meet Miss Monochrome Melbourne (X2)

There's a common held belief that Melbourne-ites wear lots of black.  Personally, I'm not so sure that's still true as much as it used to be, but Tiffany and Erin are doing their best to keep Melbourne's chic black reputation intact!
The girls work together, and dress very much alike, rocking a punk meets monochrome look that they both like to punctuate with Vans.
They each told me that they are both Vans girls, and rep Melbourne with their look that combines everything that makes Melbourne so great; personality and edge.

Best of '11; Guys

Well the boys have been stepping out in style in 2011, and everyone from the city chic-ers to the casuals, the b-boys to the BMXers, and the skaters to the sneakerheads have been making the streets look better than ever around the world this year.
Here are my fave finds from the male contingent over the past 12 months, it’s the ladies turn tomorrow!
